Jonquils Cafe & Bakery: Exquisite Desserts and Artful Coffee Creations in Boston

I went for coffee with something sweet to this cafe and was surprised to see the dessert galore at this place. Everything was so artistic and eye catching, it was a tough decision but I decided to have the Raspberry Pistachio and it was like a burst of flavors in my mouth. I also got a strawberry rose to go and it didn't disappoint.The ambience is modern and clean.An awesome cafe with delicate desserts in Newbury St, not to be missed. X

Jonquils Café & Bakery on Newbury Street is truly spectacular. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels cozy, warm, and welcoming, the kind of place that instantly makes you feel at home. Everything they serve is absolutely delicious, from the pastries to the coffee, always fresh, carefully prepared, and beautifully presented. What makes this place extra special to me is the personal connection I have with it. Every time I come here, I am reminded of my very first trip to Boston with my mother as an adult. It was the first time I was able to invite her, to share those little moments together over coffee and something sweet, and that memory will always stay in my heart. Coming back to John Gil’s brings that feeling alive again, which makes it so much more than just a café for me. It’s a wonderful spot, not only because of the quality of the food and drinks, but also because of the way it creates lasting memories. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Newbury Street, you’ll find both amazing flavors and a truly meaningful experience.

I absolutely love this place. Everyone needs to go. It is absolutely delicious, very cute spot on, Newberry and the desserts. Amazing. Definitely. We'll be going back again. I want to try them all, but I just had two It is a little bit pricey, but for the experience, it was worth it

We ordered the geometrical apple and the raspberry pistachio desserts, with black and green tea. They brewed both teas and it tasted so good and fresh. The desserts were out of this world. We specially liked the contrast between the smoothness of the mousse and the crunchiness of the cake layers, or the sweetness of the white chocolate layer of the raspberry pistachio with the sourness of the raspberry filling. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was so chill, with a nice selection of music.

I visited this place twice in one week. Their pistachio dessert is out of this world, and the geometric apple-shaped sweet is a must-try. Enjoying it with a cup of matcha tea was the perfect complement. I’ll definitely be going back soon

Beautiful coffee shop with beautiful desserts and baked goods. The scone was very good, with a nice crusty edge. Coffee was really nice, smooth and great with cream. Not bitter and not too strong. The service was good, only one person in front of us, so not much of a wait. Lots of indoor and outdoor patio seating.

I love this cafe! The seating is a little limited, but that’s to be expected in this area. The items are not only delicious but also beautifully presented, and the cappuccinos were excellent. I probably wouldn’t go here regularly because of the seating and location, but it’s definitely a fun spot to treat yourself or grab a special coffee/pastry. Worth checking out if you’re in the area!

This place has really inventive pastries that are both tasty and visually beautiful looking. It completely elevates the experience of eating cake into something special. The Geometric Apple is a stand out but the Raspberry Pistachio was also delicious. Nothing was overly sweet. The cafe is clean with a decent amount of seating. Service was good, with some friendly staff members helping us out.
